LETS LOOK AT OLD TESTIMENT SCRIPTURES ABOUT  PALM SUNDAY AND THE COMING OF OUR KING.

Zech 9:9-10

The Coming King

9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!

Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!

Behold, your King is coming to you;

He is just and having salvation,

Lowly and riding on a donkey,

A colt, the foal of a donkey.

10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim

And the horse from Jerusalem;

The battle bow shall be cut off.

He shall speak peace to the nations;

His dominion shall be ‘from sea to sea,

And from the River to the ends of the earth.’

 The prophecy was fulfilled in every particular way on palm Sunday, and it was indeed a time of rejoicing for the Jews their deliverer had arrived as the word said, and Jerusalem welcomed their King Jesus.

 Unfortunately, the celebration was not to last. The crowds looked for a Messiah who would rescue them politically and free them nationally here on this earth, but Jesus had come to save them spiritually and fulfill Gods promises of salvation thru Jesus Christ.

 After the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord. He will sit on the throne in heaven at the right hand of his father.
